The Jammer Trust was founded in 2005 as a Montana Public Benefit Corporation and a qualified 501 (C) 3 educational organization under the rules of the US Internal Revenue Service.
The primary objective of the Trust is to encourage the preservation of historic touring and transportation vehicles that once were used in the National Parks, as well as memmorabilia, photographs and objects related to the operation of those vehicles. The Jammer trust is also committed to making it possible for the public to see and experience what their parents and grandparents enjoyed in the early days of motorized touring in the Parks.
With the benefit of visitors to the parks, in mind, the trust acquires and restores vehicles of historical value. Additionally it facilitates the preservation and restoration of historic vehicles by private parties, with particular emphasis on making it practical for owners to maintain the vehicles in as near original condition as possible.
The Trust has worked in close cooperation with the Yellowstone Park Transportation Co. LLC and Glacier Park Transportation Co. LLC, as well as the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
The principal office of the Trust is located in Bigfork Montana. Directors live in Nye and Bigfork, Montana, and Garland Texas.
The Trust organizes and sponsors tours in several National Parks, as well as provides vehicles for numerous parades, charitable, and educational events.
